Head And Heart Project: Heart 1

I based this off of some paintings I found online so that I could practice seeing how shadow and light interact with greenery. I have always struggled capturing the vibrant colors of greenery, so this is my best attempt so far. I did this all in one sitting, so I did not take progress photos. I definitely still should have done that. I really did not like this piece at first, but I like it more now and am super excited to remake it in the summer with more detail. I will also make it original by painting us in my backyard, rather than copying tree and shadow placement from a different artist. I sadly can not seem to find the photograph of their piece however.
