Dog painting week 2

I got to work this week! On Tuesday, I gridded my canvas and sketched out the dog. I spent a lot of this class pondering over whether or not I liked the composition and reference photo enough, but I decided they would suffice. On Thursday, I started painting. I have never painted in the art room, except for with watercolor once in freshman year. Because of this, it took me a while to get my bearings, but I painted the background color and put green all over the dog for an undertone. I've never tried this, so I'll have to see what it does. The purple I mixed was a lot brighter than I meant for it to be, but I think it is cool and my peers really liked it. It is pretty much exactly the color of the discord logo.
