Career in art

I like animals. That is apparent in my art. I also like art sometimes. Upon getting this assignment, I was wondering if I could find a career that combined the two. The one that seemed most considerable to me was being a recreational therapist. Recreational therapists help treat patients using recreational activities. This can include canine therapy and art therapy. I take AP psych, so this job throws in a whole other thing that interests me. I wouldn't want to be a counseling therapist, but leading therapeutic painting days and dog petting could actually be fun. I even like sports, another activity that recreational therapists often use. Being a recreational therapist requires a bachelor's degree and certification in most states. Colleges with recreational therapy programs include Temple University, University of Utah, and Longwood University.
